NOTICE OF THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE BUCKEYE TRAIL ASSOCIATION

Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 9:00AM at Camp Manatoc

The meeting is open to all BTA members and the public without charge.
All TrailFest attendees are welcome and encouraged to attend!

The Buckeye Trail Association’s constitution requires that we hold “at least an annual meeting of the membership.” The annual meeting is a testament to how we’ve grown in the last 60 years since 1959 when Emma “Grandma” Gatewood, a charter member of the BTA and one of the first trustees, along with numerous others, envisioned the growth of the Buckeye Trail Association. We have much information to share with everyone.

The 2020 annual business meeting is scheduled for Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The membership attending will vote on the following items:

  • Election of five trustees to serve a three-year term each
  • Proposed changes to the Buckeye Trail Association Constitution in Article IX and Article XIII

Additional items on the agenda include reports by the Executive Director, the Treasurer, the Trail Preservation Fund and other committees to provide a picture of where we are as an organization and what we hope to become. Questions and comments by members and friends in attendance are welcome.

Following the business meeting, the Board of Trustees will meet to select its officers who will serve until the 2021 annual meeting and to hold its quarterly board meeting.

AWARDS NOMINATION

Volunteers and partners are the lifeblood of the Buckeye Trail Association. Volunteers and partners give thousands of hours of their time and energy to help build, maintain, protect and promote the enjoyment of Ohio’s 1,400+ mile BT. Our Volunteers deserve to be honored for their hard work on the Trail and off the Trail and we need your help to highlight all types of Volunteers and partners around the state to thank them and encourage others to follow their leadership.

Most of the awards are presented during the BTA Awards program during our annual Buckeye TrailFest in the Spring of each year.
