TRAILFEST OFFSITE TOUR OPTIONS
DAY Little Cities of Black Diamonds History Tour:
The Little Cities of Black Diamonds region is named for the late 1800's coal boom towns that sprang up in the Hocking Valley. This tumultuous era saw an influx of immigrants, Union organizers, mine strikes and mine fires. After industry cleared the forested hills and poisoned streams with mining waste, the Wayne National Forest was created and the forest regenerated around these villages. Join us on a tour that may change your view of Appalachia and learn how our BT/NCNST is part of its future. Visit the Program page for tour details

Friday 5 hour tour, limit 10 persons $20.00
