Did you know that Sandy Plunkett, the DC and Marvel comic book artist that draws superheros (Spiderman, Green Lantern, Iron Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four just to name a few) lives in Athens, OH? He’s a friend of John Knouse, a former BTA Board of Trustee and coordinator for the 2014 BTA Trailfest. Since that year’s Trailfest was in the Hocking Hills area, John asked Sandy to draw a logo for the event. Sandy drew a wonderful rendition of a hiker in the gorge of the Grandma Gatewood Trail.

Our 2018 Trailfest Celebration is lucky to have access to this drawing for our event merchandise. Mark Heise has taken the drawing and updated it for us (check out the blue blaze). We have short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, performance shirts, mugs, bags and more available. You can add your trail name too!

Please consider making a purchase or two, and count yourself lucky to wear/carry this wonderful example of Sandy Plunkett’s art. A portion of each sale will go to the BTA and/or NCTA. Click this link to place an order:
